The City of Wheaton was a product of the railroad and was a planned community to provide goods and passengers for the route. We take a look at the formation of Wheaton, how different events altered the town, and what Wheaton's future holds.
From its beginning as the "Road To Health", serving Eureka Springs to its eventual expansion from Joplin, Missouri to Helena, Arkansas and the mighty Mississippi River, we examine the railroad from its beginning to its demise in 1951.
Starting in a one room schoolhouse, Wheaton Schools have been a center of life in the city for over 100 years. See the exhibits and hear the stories of students past and present that make up the lifeblood of Wheaton.
